Perfume, while a matter of taste and personality, is a powerful means of attraction. In fact, it can attract, but at the same time move away. In addition, women have a sense of smell much more pronounced than men, so “Men, be careful to choose!“. Do not forget also that your ladies must love the perfume, you must create a kind of perfect alchemy between your tastes and those of women, by spraying, without exaggerating and choosing the ideal perfume according to the occasion.
There are different types of fragrances on the market that are distinguished by the concentration of perfume diluted in alcohol.
In Parfum, the intensity varies from 20 to 30% and persists even after 24 hours. Eau de Parfum contains a perfume of 15-20% and its duration is about 6-8 hours. In Eau de Toilet, the percentage varies from 5 to 15% for a duration of approximately 3 hours. Then we have the Eau de Cologne where the intensity is 2 to 4% for a persistence of about 2 hours. Finally, Eau Fraiche contains 1 to 3% perfume and lasts about an hour.
The fragrances can then be citrus, fruity, spicy or woody. The first two are more suitable for the summer, while the spices and woodlots are more persistent and more suitable for the winter. Then there are also the flowered that are used to balance and refine the most spicy scents.
For the choice of perfume, it is very important to know the olfactory pyramid, divided into three olfactory levels: top notes, heart notes and base notes.
The top notes are the first to be perceived and are particularly volatile because they fade after a few minutes.
The heart notes are more persistent and are the ones that give the fragrance its distinctive character. They constitute the central part of the perfume, creating the famous “fragrance of the perfume”. It takes at least 15 minutes to collect them.
The base notes are very persistent and accompany us even when the top and heart notes are soothed. It is the notes that give depth to the scented substance, and even if the choice of perfume is determined by the first two, those of background determine its fidelity.
However, each scent varies depending on the acidity of the skin and it takes at least 24 hours to find out if the scent is suitable.
Dry skin quickly absorbs the scent. This is why a perfume is preferable, as opposed to oily skin where a toilet water is sufficient to have a good intensity.
It is necessary to spray it 10-20 cm from the skin, after the shower, because the pores are more open in the hottest areas of the body, to allow easy evaporation.
But what are the men’s perfumes which seduce women in 2018?
According to my research, I propose here some of the men’s perfumes preferred by women.
1. “La Nuit de l’Homme” by YVES SAINT LAURENT
It is a creation of Yves Saint Laurent born three years after the original version “The Man”. Unlike the latter, it has retained an aromatic woody fragrance, although less floral and more sensual. The presence of cardamom from an oriental scent, added to a note of cumin and vetiver, makes this fragrance a unique product. It is both a warm, spicy and sweet fragrance that is best suited for winter and for elegant appointments. Not ideal for everyday use.
Olfactive notes:
Top note: Cardamom.
Heart notes: Bergamot, Virginia cedar and lavender.
Base notes: Vetiver and caraway.
2. “Acqua di Giò” by GIORGIO ARMANI
It is a perfume very much loved by women. It was born as an evocation of the island of Pantelleria and in particular of the role of land and sea. It is a sensitive, refined and elegant fragrance for men with a marine and citrus aroma. Marine notes add woody aromas that bring a touch of masculinity and sensuality. It’s a spring-summer fragrance for beach parties or even for important occasions, but not for the office.
Olfactive notes:
Top notes: Orange, lime, tangerine, jasmine, bergamot, lemon and neroli.

- “Sauvage” by DIOR
It improves the raw essence of the man. The freshness of Calabrian bergamot is counterbalanced by the spicy chilli of Sichuan. Lavender reveals a Mediterranean character against an ambroxan background. This perfume is also very popular with the most sophisticated women because it is a perfect mix very attractive. Although apparently persistent, it remains fresh and can therefore be adapted to various occasions. I recommend it especially in winter for an important appointment because in summer the heat can make it a little embarrassing. Therefore, I do not recommend daily use.Olfactive notes:

ERRORS TO AVOID
1. Avoid putting the perfume of others, because each skin reacts differently and releases more or less aromas. Experts advise to always try on a well hydrated skin.
2. Avoid setting on a perfume if the reaction with your skin is not ideal. It can be sprayed on a scarf or undergarment so that human heat can spread it.
3. However, avoid spraying the perfume directly onto clothing as they may stain. Keep at least a distance of 30 cm.
4. Avoid rubbing the skin once you have put the scent. This could change the natural side of the product.
5. Avoid getting too much perfume. The nose gets used to the point of no longer feeling it.
6. Avoid storing perfume near sources of heat and sunlight. Keep it in cool places, but not cold.
7. Avoid using a single scent for all occasions. An important and elegant occasion requires a different note from everyday office use.
8. Avoid turning a PLEASANT smell into UNPLEASANT simply by spraying too much. For those with a heavy finger, focus on the scented waters and the cool waters.
